You must submit the following documents to the Home Office to show that you meet the eligibility requirement for a business visitor visa:
- You are a genuine visitor and seeking entry to the UK to perform business activities allowed under Appendix V
- You will not get involved in prohibited activities
- You will leave the UK before the expiry of your business visitor visa
- You have sufficient funds or savings to support your visit in the UK

Activities permitted under business visitor visa
You can visit the UK for up to 6 months to do the following business activities:
- attend interviews, meetings, conferences and seminars

- get work-related training if you’re employed overseas and the training is not available in your home country
- give a one-off or short series of talks as long as they’re not for profit or a commercial event (you must not be paid)
- carry out site visits and inspections
- oversee the delivery of goods and services provided by a UK company to your overseas company or organisation
- deliver training or share knowledge on internal projects with UK employees of the company you work for overseas
- install, dismantle, repair, service or advise on equipment, computer software and hardware, if your overseas company has a contract with a UK company or organisation

You cannot do paid or unpaid work for a UK company or as a self-employed person as a visitor. You’ll need to apply for a work visa.
Intention to Leave the UK Requirement for a Business Visit Visa
To qualify for a business visitor visa, you must satisfy the Home Office that you will leave the UK before the expiry of your visitor visa. If you fail to show the intention to leave the UK, your application may be refused. Furthermore, the Home Office will assess the following as part of your application:
- your previous immigration history
- your financial and familial circumstances in your home country
- your social and personal ties with your country of residence
Financial requirement for a business visit visa
You don’t need to maintain a bank statement for your business visit visa application. However, you need to show sufficient funds in your bank account to satisfy the Home Office that you can support yourself in the UK during your visit.
